Even though I still have 200 apps to process, I just thought I’d let all the LOTR fanatics out there know what I removed Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring from the network because it closed.

I probably won’t be able to update at all until this weekend since I’m swamped with work this week, so please don’t reapply if you don’t receive a reply within 2 minutes ;) I hope to get through all apps this weekend.

NEW MOVIE RULES I know I’m not going to be everyone’s favorite person after this, but I have changed the rules for the movie category because things are getting out of control, and this is the only way I can keep my sanity.

New Rule: You may not apply for a movie that has not yet been released. Any applications sent before the original release date will be deleted.
New Rule: Fanlistings for “Movies of ____ Actor/Actress/Director, etc.” are no longer accepted.
New Rule: Movie genre and themed fanlistings are no longer accepted.

The reason behind the release date change is because people just did not follow the previous 3 month before it’s released rule. I firmly believe that you cannot be a fan of something you haven’t seen, and therefore a movie is not available for application UNTIL it has been released.

As for “movies of” no longer being accepted, I feel that it’s just overlapping the actor/actress/director categories. FANLISTINGS ALREADY APPROVED WILL NOT BE AFFECTED. If you own one of these, that’s fine, I’m not deleting them, but I’m no longer approving them either.

Same thing with movie genre/theme fanlistings. No more “___ movies based on ___”, ect. Things people are coming up with are starting to get ridiculous and with over 1100 fanlistings in that category, there will only be actual films and films DIRECTLY related being accepted.

These rules also apply to ALL unanswered applications in my box right now, and take affect immediately. Any application disregarding the new rules will be deleted.

Just a note about applications in the movie category: if you’re applying for an upcoming movie, it has to be within 3 months of it’s release date before it’s eligible for application. Anything that’s on the current list that doesn’t follow that rule was there before the rule was implemented. Don’t reply arguing with me over this, you’ll just have to wait. If I can’t find a release date for the movie you’re applying for and it’s not out yet, chances are there isn’t one set, so you’re not gonna get approved.
